Activities
This page details some of the activities we have been involved in to date, and what we would like to do.
We held two protests so far asking the government for better treatment for Eating Disorder sufferers.
The first took place on the 17th of November, 2023 in Dublin. We started outside the Department of Health, then marched to the gates of the Dail.
The second protest took place on the 2nd of March, 2024 in Dublin, Cork, and Limerick, during Eating Disorders Awareness Week.
The protests were in response to a lack of government action to adequately fund, staff, and provide Eating Disorder services across the country.
We also attended the Dail session with the proposed bill supporting the regulation of CAMHS.
Several of our members have been on radio programmes and in newspapers, both to discuss the protests, lack of services, and personal experiences seeking treatment for Eating Disorders. Some of our members will also be featured in a episode of RTE's Prime Time airing this week.
Please see the Reforms Sought page to see the changes we are asking for.
