MIND EVERYBODY

My name is Amy Hanley, and I started Mind EveryBody as a campaign to seek reform in Eating Disorder services in Ireland.

My daughter was diagnosed with anorexia in 2022, and in the span of a year spent time in 5 different hospitals and facilities. Trying to secure treatment for her has been extremely challenging, and we were met with barriers every single step of the way. 

Every child and every person with an eating disorder deserves treatment of both body and mind together. Access to treatment is a human right that individuals and families should not have to beg and plead for.

As a result of the difficulties encountered trying to get treatment for my daughter, I decided enough was enough. No other family or individual should have to go through what we went through. 

​

I will continue to work to bring awareness about what eating disorders are, what families and sufferers go through, and the deficiencies in the healthcare system that urgently need fixed.
